A Legacy of Leadership and Transformation

LivingStone International University (LIU) was conceived in 2006 from a partnership between Christian missionaries serving in Uganda and U.S. church leaders. The missionaries saw a need to have a greater influence through education so communities can be improved for Christ.

LIU was granted a letter of interim authority by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education to begin operating in 2008. Then, in 2010, after vigorous inspections and interviews, a provisional license was granted, which authorized LIU to admit students and issue degrees. The University opened the doors to its first class on January 16, 2012.

Since then, LIU has been dedicated to raising a generation of leaders equipped with the skills and spiritual foundation to shape Africa’s future. All degrees have been accredited by the NCHE.
