Faith, Impact, and Forward Motion: What’s Ahead at LivingStone University in 2025–2026
Faith, impact, and forward motion. These aren’t just nice words printed on a banner at LivingStone International University (LIU). They’re lived out daily in classrooms, community worship, and the quiet determination of students and staff who believe Africa’s future can be reshaped through Christ-centered education.
If the 2024–2025 academic year taught us anything, it’s this: LIU is more than a university. It’s a movement, student by student, story by story, and nation by nation.
So, what’s ahead in 2025–2026? A growing campus, new programs, powerful partnerships, and a renewed call to disciple the nations.
Let’s take a look.
A Visit That Made It Real
During a recent visit to LIU, Hector Hinojosa of The Hills Church (TX), along with his son Caleb and minister Kyle Karnes, witnessed transformation in action.
Caleb interviewed current and former students. Every story echoed the same truth: LIU changes lives.
Students spoke about being well-prepared for the workplace and deeply rooted in faith. Many shared that their decision to follow Christ, or to walk deeper with Him, happened right here at LIU.
“These weren’t just hopeful students, they were confident, faithful, and ready to lead,” Hector shared.
80% Employment Rate + Unshakable Faith
It’s more than a stat—but yes, the number speaks volumes. 80% of LIU graduates are employed upon graduation. That means they’re not just learning, they’re leading in real-world spaces.
They’re also carrying something more eternal: a faith that informs how they work, serve, and lead across Africa.
2024–2025: A Year of Challenge and Breakthrough
This past academic year was full of ups and downs:
- A $1.2 million grant loss temporarily delayed the LivingStone Center construction.
- But God provided. Phase One is now underway, with a contractor selected and the first wing fully funded.
- We launched the Disciple Making Movement (DMM) training, preparing students to plant churches and make disciples across Africa.
- We celebrated another incredible graduation in October 2024, sending out leaders equipped with faith and purpose.
Through it all, LIU pressed forward, one prayer, one student, one building block at a time.
What’s Coming in 2025–2026
This year, we’re stepping into even more:
- The LivingStone Center begins construction, expanding campus capacity for classrooms, offices, and libraries.
- The School of Agriculture opens welcoming new students into a program blending sustainability, innovation, and biblical stewardship.
- DMM expands to 8 cohorts, training students to multiply disciples and lead church-planting movements.
- New students arrive, bringing fresh vision and hunger to grow in faith and purpose.
- Graduation 2025 is set for October 3—stream it online or join in person.
Every part of this year moves us toward one goal: raising Christ-centered leaders for Africa.
Why “Faith, Impact, and Forward Motion” Matters
At LIU, these aren’t slogans. They’re lived values:
- Faith guides our teaching, mentoring, and mission.
- Impact is seen in students’ lives, families, and workplaces.
- Forward Motion keeps us pressing on, even when it’s hard.
We believe God isn’t done. In fact, He’s just getting started.
